Dave Matthews Band
Before the Grammy Awards, before the #1 Billboard debut, before dumping 800 pounds of human waste onto a Chicago River sightseeing boat, Dave Matthews Band played Schubas. In January of 1994, eight months before they would release their first LP Under the Table and Dreaming, Dave & Co. played their first headlining show in Chicago right here at Belmont and Southport. They came back just two months later and showed us why they would soon be playing arenas. Thirteen albums and countless tour miles later, we're proud to say they played here first.
